Re: Announcement: multiPlay for Blackberry Pearl 8100 - beta

It was a problem due to a improper upload th server which didnot remove the older version. Now tested that the server has the latest working version. 0.9.9.1459 beta.

OTA is not available atp - will be available sooner.

Yes everything seems to be working now.

I see you can only save one playlist, and the name defaults to "sample playlist" no matter what you name it.

Is that a bug or just part of the free version?

This app seems promising, good work so far.

That is the restriction on the free version - only 1 playlist and will be just saved as Sample playlist. Professional version will allow unlimited playlists and naming as you wish.

Very cool! Will you be adding more functionality to the media player? I (and many others) would love to see an equalizer and maybe some SRS WOW effects.

Our web-admin is out of office and I dunno the configuration details for the apache - so have to wait till hez back to get the OTA stuff done. I had thought just uploading the jad would do - but seems a small server config is needed too.

Please bear with us till Monday.

Re: Announcement: multiPlay for Blackberry Pearl 8100 - beta

For some reason, the media player and file manager only see ringtones, video, and photos on sdcard/blackberry, but all my music is in the "music" folder. Hence, not very useful. I deleted and reloaded again, but still have the same problem. I notice that it asks permission to access every folder and maybe I missed "music", but there doesn't seem to be any way to get back to it now. The file manager does not allow a folder to be created under sdcard/blackberry, but only under sdcard. I realize it's a beta, but it's not very useful if you can't access your music. It is a good idea to package these together, though.

Mine doesn't have that problem. It lets me pick music from wherever (it is stored in the music folder though).

Actually there have been more than 2000 downloads since announcement and the application has been in beta for more than 2 months (with 25+ testers) and there is no such problem, every one is able to add music files to playlist or play them. If you could give more detialed bug report - we would be pleased to fix it.

I would suggest you to use the File Explorer module to create folders - that should work. And I was able to create a test folder under /sdcard/blackberry/ and able to copy files to it too. Please test it and let me know. If you could provide screentshots of any problems that would be very great and easy to fix too.
