All Day Events on Today Theme

I have seen a couple other posts, but nothing definite on this possible feature. This is one of the biggest downsides to me of using a blackberry after coming from Windows Mobile. I use my phone to organize my life, along with email and texting. It is hard to remember birthdays when they do not show up on my today theme. I wish RIM would make it so you could view all day events without having to jump through hoops. As well, adding the ability to see 4 or 5 upcoming events would be amazing. Not only would the blackberry be the communication device, but the organization device. Is this coming out in 4.3 or anytime close? Can any RIM employee respond please?

Using the today plus theme, my calendar shows three events at a time.

Calender > menu key (button left of trackball) > view day. The blue diamond is the all day appt.
Calender > menu key > view agenda. Shows upcoming events only.

Also, if you view "week" a day that is light blue, means it has an all day appt.

I'm in the same boat, as it seems with a lot of others, we don't want to go into the calendar everyday. We would like to view all upcoming events, even all day events, on the homescreen of a today theme.

I have seen it, and it works, just not the type of solution I want. I would like something integrated into the BB, not just a program that runs.

I really feel like this feature isnt something extra, but something the BB should do naturally. This doesnt seem like a hard bit of code, so I dont understand completely why its not there already. I am probably coming off a little bitter, but its only because I want my BB to be my end all be all device. With Google Calendar Sync taking care of getting my calendar to my BB, all i need is it to display the All day events.

You are so right on this one. This is one of the biggest complaints I have about my BlackBerry. It does seem like it should be an easy fix and something that should just be.

If you make birthdays an event with a defined time period (for example 7am - 8am) instead of an all day event, it should show up in the today theme calendar section

I tried Pocket Day Pro and found it kind of annoying...seemed like it took up space and did not blend well with my other applications. I deleted it prior to the end of the trial.
