    A sleeping magnet pouch question?

Never heard of sleeping magnets until I started to read this forum. Anyways, I have a two-fold question. If you place the phone and its inside the case, how do you know it went to sleep? Secondly, and more importantly, if you take the phone out of the case, does the peal wake up on its own or must you press the button on top of the phone to awake it?

When you start to put the BB in its case, when it is a little more than halfway you will see the screen go dim, if you have a magnet case.

I don't have a magnet case anymore but with my previous phone I would have to scroll the wheel or press a button to make the light come on.

when i take my 7100i out of my holser with the sleep magnet, it comes right back on.

also if you want to make sure its functioning, just hold the back of the phone to the front of the case to make sure its working

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

All the magnet does is turn the screen on or off.

This is by no means a "sleep" mode. The BlackBerry is fully on and fully functioning.

Does it also disable the keys? On the soft case I would think that keys may get pushed.

JUST CLARIFY THE BLACKBERRY NEVER TURNS OFF, EVEN IF YOU PRESS THE POWER BUTTON IT DOESN'T TURN OFF. WHEN THE PHONE IS PUT INTO A HOLSTER OR CASE WITH THE MAGNET THE PHONE TRIES TO LOCK THE PHONE AND KEYBOARD AND PHONE ASWELL AS TURN OFF THE SCREEN UNLESS THE OPTIONS ARE DISABLED. IF YOU WANT TO TEST THIS FEATURE HOLD THE BOTTON OF THE BACKSIDE OF THE HOLSTAER OVER THE CENTER OF THE BOTTOM OF THE PHONE. YOU WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS

on the 8100 the magnets are in the wrong place, on top flap, I put mine in upside down and it truly sleeps the only thing useable is volume on the mp3 player a good idea i thought. no accidental calls to 911 or that sort of stuff. just my ideas
