You can do a 3rd party application and theme backup right through Desktop Manager 4.7 or higher. If you need to have instructions PM me and I'll send them.

You can do that with DM back as far as 4.3 too. When you upgrade your OS it automatically backs up and restores your themes and apps. I have never lost an app in an upgrade or downgrade unless I wiped with JL_Cmder first and this is rarely necessary. Also if you want to do a separate backup to save just for peace of mind, check this out http://forums.pinstack.com/showthrea...ght=back+party

JL_Commander is always an option, though a bit of a pain in the butt. Guide here.

Get aerize card loader. Then you put the cod files to every app you have on it. This way, all your apps are stored and loaded from your sd card. This is what I do. I had the same issue.

You don't need Aerize Card loader. If you can get the JAR and all of the COD files, just make a folder on your memory card (SD card), put them in there. Go to media, hit the blackberry button, and select explore. Explore your media card to the folder you made, select the JAR file (the smallest size usually about 5K or less) and click on it. It'll say "download" or "cancel" just like an OTA does. Then whala! You've got it. No reason to buy the Aerize program. I've done this with games and themes.

I too have done this, but there have been apps that I would get an error with. For $10 bucks you cant go wrong. Better safe than sorry.
