I cannot find a reference on the BB site or in my BlackBerry.alx file to a vendor 179. Where are you seeing this?

The Vendor codes in the List linked above were extracted from the BB.alx file and are only representative of the Vendors that have their own custom themes loaded in the General Download package. It is not a complete list of vendor IDs.

I don't see it anywhere. Why do we need to know who 179 is? Do you have a device with that code in it?

When I check the vendor ID on my 8120 using "Alt EACE"...it shows that the vendor id is 179. Who is this vendor?.

Who is your carrier? That is who your vendor ID is. Please update your profile with the information so others can help better.

The phone was bought unlocked so the vendor id will not match my carrier. I am trying to determine who the original carrier was.

What does the splash screen say when booting the BB up. That will not change by replacing the OS or unlocking the phone.

The splash screen does not come up with any logo. When booting, it displays the rotating hour glass then "blackberry".

What model is the phone and what area your seller come from? I am asking because Centennial wireless is a new provider here in the midwest and I have not seen them listed in the vendors sections yet. Also my phone is unlocked ATT so I don't have vendor ID for them. Centennial carries 8100, 8700g, 8300 & 8310s.
