Viewing Tivo Recordings on Pearl??

I loaded Seabyrd BB Video Creator.

Downloaded Tivo recording to PC Hard Drive.

Used Video Creator to convert tivo file.

Loaded file on BB Pearl using BB Media Manager.

When viewed on Pearl it is all chopped up. I can see some of the recording. Sound is all screwed as well.

The file extension for the tivo recording on the pc is ".tivo"

I am thinking I need to customize the settings in the video converter.

Any suggestions?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ tivo files are encoded with proprietary security key when you use home media option and transfer to your pc. U need to locate a program to strip out encryption. I have utility at home and works great. If u can't search it out online I can get you info when I return home. It will make file from .tivo to .mpg so you can then do anything you need to file. I have done this to about 150 shows for my old PDA and made into .wmv.

dday...... that would be great if you could help me out. I am big into tivo and to be able to transfer shows to my pearl would be the nice.

These tivo fileS are very large. I would be gald to get one to you. Not sure how besides email. A 30 minute program is 350 mb.

I called myself running a search in the forums concerning Tivo Recordings on Pearl but .... lawd knows what I musta typed in. I started a thread (for the 1st time) and feel kinda like my lack of BB knowledge or even searching pinstack knowledge has radiated throughout the web. Ohhh well ....

While looking around I felt a little better to see that there is still more than one thread concerning this issue.

I did get my Tivo recorded movie to work perfectly on my 8100 pearl by downloading the program mentioned in my above post. After putting the movie into that program it have me a RAW mpg to work with. I then used Super C to convert it to mp4 and was sooo happy to see that it actually worked!

anyone try this with other DVRs besides Tivo? We have a verizon fios dvr (motorola) but I have not been able to find a way to get the saved files to my computer.
