Videos from YouTube, Metacafe, Myspce on your BB? Here's how

I thought this might be a little interesting for some of you who really want to have some of those cool videos that are on YouTube and all those websites where you cant download them cause they're using shockwave FLV.

Well if you go here and copy paste the web link where the video clip is, it will convert it to almost any format. The best thing about it is that it's free

I used the '3GP For Mobile (MPEG4 + AAC)' option on a movie from YouTube and it worked perfectly; the size, quality, audio and clarity were all high. Again, wonderful find!

I use firefox as my browser. There is a plugin that allows you to click it to download movies such as youtube. Very easy.

Yes, I love Firefox and the plugins, especially the one you are referring to. The posted link is especially nice because you can have it converted even before you download it.

Are you saying you use firefox as the browser on your BB? I am a novice so excuse the question, but if you do can you tell me how and what the advantages are over the stock browser. Thanx.

Great tip. The Mozilla add-on is very clean as well. Most utube type of videos are under 90 seconds anyway, so the "free demo" Replay flv converter to other formats, that gives you up to 90 seconds of conversion, works great without spending any dollars.

What we are saying is that this plugin gives you the ability to download videos from Youtube, MetaCafe, and many more. These sites do not currently provide a download for their videos.

The videos download from the FireFox plugin in .flv format so you will need SuperC or some other program to convert them.

The link that started the whole thread will automatically download and convert videos from YouTube into a format of your choosing.
