I placed the file I wanted to convert into the directory where the mplayer is located (mines was desktop -> folder) Then I open up a command prompt by going to start -> run -> cmd -> OK Once the prompt open since the mplayer was on my desktop (inside of a folder) I change directory (type "CD" without the qoutes at the prompt then hit enter) to the directory where the mplayer is located... I then copy and paste the command I included in the thread... for the <input file> (pretty straight forward but...) you change that for the name of the file you want to convert and the <output file> change that to the new file.avi (with the extension) hit enter and it begins converting. Hope this helps. Terrharr feel free to PM if you still need assistance. Now if I can only get help on how to convert the files on a Mac. I just purchased a Mac never used one... and I can convert on a PC but dont want to have to transfer the files to the PC simply to convert.

I use the 2nd method, and I just set up a batch file editing it with the correct file names as I go along. I can easily do 4 files coverted at once with this method.

Amazing thank you! And I thought the software was good. Now I can use the damn menu and the options! the 176x144 is a great size. That way you see the whole video. |
