hey retrozion...you said your computer shut off at the last step...well i dont know why it happened...if you are experiencing problems..then you should wipe your handheld and then again update it...cos it will solve your multi-tap problem

hi jaspreet i just did it and the sand clock is still spining??? what should i do unplug the phone?? should it do that ??

no no it will boot up itslef do not mess with it...it takes a while but u should be fine now

oh ok thanks man i just unpluged it and its still booting. the manager told me that update is done and i pressed finish. how long does it take it to boot up??

thanks for your reply i so close to taking my battery off it lol

it can take upto 10 mins after update.....mine took 7 mins

when i upgrade i will lose all my phone book entries, settings, and etc right? or will they stay . . . never did anything like this before....

If you do a back up and restore during the S/W upgrade you won't lose your personal data

yes lowrider...if you have selected to backup ur device...then all ur 3rd party apps also...get restored to the new update

Do you need a PC to update the OS? I have a Mac but I can find a PC somewhere...

I upgraded out-of-the-box T-Mo Pearl from 0.51!!! to 1.101.
Installation crashed with unrecognized java exception on Pearl, so my heart almost stopped.
But pass 2 solved the problems... even if DM stated device is not connected...
