Usually you can just Right Click, and Save Link As.......

so I save it in a file on my computer or thru the usb port on to the phone itself? really, really, not used to the phone just yet.

Ok!!...Save the file to your PC, then hook your phone up to the PC (via USB), then transfer the file to your phone using the Desktop Manager Software (media manager)
