Yes Jimmy, I am in the UK and the upgrade went fine. Bear in mind that RIM produce these upgrades - not the providers.

Providers only release them, when they have tested the software themselves

Hope this helps.
You will need to delete or rename the VENDOR.XML file located at:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\VENDOR.XML
First, install BlackBerry OS 4.x but do not run BlackBerry Desktop. Next, delete or rename the VENDOR.XML. Finally, run desktop manager to install.

Will desktop manager connect to the device or is it just the application loader that wont connect?

Whose with me?!?!?!

I think it's time for bed!
I like this thinking So... how does one save the current OS? I've never done any phone modding before, so I'm VERY new to this. I learn fast, though Also, what precisely isn't good about the current T-Mo OS?

Oh well...guess I'll go on a hunt for it.
Options-->Advanced Options-->Host Routing Table-->Menu Key-->Register Now

Ignore it and follow the download instructions found all over the place on this site. Disconnect your berry from the DM. Download the new OS. Run it. Once it has installed, go to C:\progfiles\common\RIM\Apploader\vendor.xml and delete it.

Then connect your berry and run DM. It will prompt you to upgrade. The new Telefonica OS (most current till around 11/28 or so) is the best, IMO. At least in the US on TMobile. It got rid of all the lag and I can actually run the phantom theme now!
