heyy I'm new the foru, and i ust got the pearl yesterday
i'm trying to download this OS by when i click Download on my pearl, it says "unsupported media type: application/octet-stream"

you're supposed to d/l it through the pc not the bb browser and install it through media manager.

Try Options/Advanced Options/Host Routing Table then Select Register Now from the Menu. After the Registration Message is recieved do a Cold Reboot (Battery Out, wait 15-30 sec, Battery Back in).

You cant put 8100 OS on a 8700.

OS upgrades are device specific.
