This marks the third OS change my Pearl has gone through in the past month, lol.

Have upgraded to this OS (I am using an unlocked T Mobile 8100 with Rogers). So far so good. The phone seems faster and battery life seems better too. Normally, by 8pm, my battery will be down to 75% but now still have 89% (same amount of data/email usage).
Autodim is still the default (cannot disable). No other thing noted with this upgrade except for what I mentioned above.

In the previous software in the status i showed about 31MB of free device memory. Now it shows over 34MB.

Myfaves are automatically resent to your phone. I had to go and resend my service books. But otherwise everything should reload on your phones the same way as before.
As far as the battery goes I have had the update for 3 days now and it gets better everyday. I am a fairly heavy user and I havent charged my battery for 2 days, it definately fixed the battery bug and the call lag problem.

A Big Thank You To Ceekay

just followed all the instructions , and all seems cool , its was the first time i did this , i was sweating like a kid in a sweet shop and panicing like mad but got to say what a drastic improvement over last firmware i had from t-mobile.

now all i got to do is unlock that voda theme and i am a happy bunny
thanks to all with help on here and i have to say what a forum , its nice to have a online commuinity with some much knowledge and cares about what everybody else is doing! a big up to you all.

right and on to what i have noticed
1. 2 sec pause has gone whilst answering the phone , massive benifits on this as my wife was getting her hair off once ringing me.
2. screen seems clearer dont know what that is all about
3. acessing apps alot quicker
4.web browsing seems to connect quicker
5. battery life is better ( will comment on this once i give it a battering today)

Installed it today and working fine with Rogers. Actually not noticing much difference yet except the mute button works now to disable the ring on incoming calls. And so far I haven't seen the call lag (which appeared intermittently before).

Battery life is 100x's better....my phone has been on straight for 2 days and I have been using it normally and its still at 70%

No call lag
