Dont be afraid to update..I just did.. the only thing i noticed different is that i dont have a browser icon...Interesting...hmm...

Ya, trying that...a few times actually...I think i just need to wait a couple hours or something.. Been reading the 'no browser' posts on pinstack and that seems to be the solution to my problem....As some of my applications are still popping up over time (ie my email) ...so, ya.. Thanks though.

i had alot of lag between screens and applications with the last OS. at least for me, this seams to have fixed it. i havent noticed any other differences as of yet. will post if i do.

I noticed a few things. A lot of slide options are flipped upside down now. So at the top it's the lower number and high numbers towards the bottom. And a few of the icon screens are a bit larger and bold. Loading seems a bit faster too. Other than that, I don't see anything else.

What's it with upgrades and cingular... They seem to have new upgrades every week or something lol what about TMO?? Ever since I bought my phone there was only one upgrade

Man I just want the dim feature back
(And some new cool things, like music through BT

You dont.

In order to update your device software, you must download and install it on your PC, then start Desktop Manager and connect your BB to the PC via USB.

This may or may not have already been brung up...But with the new OS, there are 'user' pictures in my media files...I did not see these in the previous OS so it may not be new..But there are pictures of different looking people for setting the caller ID's...Anyone know if thats new?

Hi...I'm a newbie to BB and definitely to the Pearl. I just read about this post about the OS upgrade. I believe I have Cingular's OS version .69

I want to upgrade but my question is, what information will I be able to retain or lose? Will I be able to keep my profile settings? applications? pictures? email settings? If not, what is the simplest/quickest way to restore them?
