| New 8100 FCC docs reveal rushed launch after media leaks. The attached documents below make mention of "...be withheld from public inspection for the initial 45 days of the grant date with the possibility of extension." The grant date being yesterday August 14th. Yet the T-Mobile launch is currently set for the 18th of Setember as stated by BBhub and engadgetmobile well before the end of the "short term confidetniality request" letter to the FCC; sent July 27th -- More Related articles: Someone needs remind RIM that loose lips sink ships. 8100 pics leaked on the net. So those pics confirm that the trackwheel is gone on that device, but it is being replaced by what looks like an up/down (+/-) key eh?

N8 I think the +/- keys are for volume and such, I think the trackball replaces the wheel for nav functions

One could count the 45 days from July 27th but that would be pre-launch date. Interesting angles to speculate; however one thing for sure is that leaks do create rush. The BlackBerry 8700c dust-under-the-screen evidence of that.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I know I'm stupid for doing this, but I hope this stays on schedule for Sept 18th. I already put in for vacation! |

Check out this link. Does it appear that the date may be moving to 9/28? http://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/cf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Sum&calledFromFrame=N&R equestTimeout=500&application_id=426295&fcc_id='L6 ARBE40GW' |

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ Yeah well I'll be in meetings all day so its not too likely I'll get to get out and get one. My only hope is it either comes out before the 27th when I leave, or I can get the TMO guy to sell it to me early ( not likely, but I'd pay him cash and ask him to ring it up on the 28th, and we'd activate over the phone). |
