Just got a new BBP' having trouble installing DM 4.2

Ok so i just recently got a new BBP white. *fun*

and I'm trying to install the desktop manager 4.2 that comes along with the cd. I currently have windows vista and whenever i try to install dm and run the application nothing pops up. Has anyone had this problem or if anyone knows, what should i do?

Howdy and Weolcome!

#1 - Suggest you do not use the CD verion of DM...many are buggy. Un-install and download 4.2 sp1 from this site: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22

#2 - Once you have installed let us know if this helps. Unfortunalty some Vista users have had issues...

There is a problem with a recent Windows 2000 patch that stops DM and Pearl's connecting, when previously they did.
I don't know if this problems extends to Vista.

Does anybody know if MS or RIM are actually aware of this problem and whether they are doing anything about it?
