hey guys how can I get my 8100 to record video?

how can u put video recorder on ur blackberry pearl 8100...so u can record stuff from ur phone if it is possible

Sorry, but your 8100 lacks the necessary hardware for video recording. Some attempts to use other devices files to record videos using the 8100 camera had completely unsatisfactory results.

Updating the OS to 4.5 will allow video recording, right?

No it will not. 8100 pearls don't have the necessary hardware as stated by Gary. A OS upgrade cannot substitute a hardware function.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I have a curve 8310 that originally came with NO video recorder and after doing the 4.5V upgrade, i now have one!

Not the same for the pearl i guess?

Yep that's all correct. No video on the 8100. Ever.

I theres a OS mod you can use but the video quality is really not worth the effort.
