I installed the 1GB chip in two 8100's with no issues. Got them for $34 each.

I really like the in-ear plug type earphones like Sony's MDR-EX51LP, but they all come with the larger size jack. Does anyone know of similar ear plug type phones that have the 2.5mm jack, or a convenient working stereo adapter? Thanks

Thanks for the 8100 guide. Just got the Pearl a couple of days ago. All the short cuts really save me time.

I got one, Just today, only hours ago... Upgraded form the 8105t or whatever it was. This thing is small. It seems nice, like was said have to hunt for browser, 2 gig card supposed to work, but here needs firmware upgrade to overcome querk when using a 2 gig car, I ll do the 1 gig for only 20$ instead of 2 gig for 80$. Wish I could find texas holdem for it though. I gotta start looking.

Tmobile was good to me, I was only 6 mo in contract and let me switch to the phone with new 2 year contract, and only 249 for unit. Sold old BB for 100$ so made it only 150$. I can live with that. Movies and mp3 on the go great. Make trips mo better and not have to tote an Ipod.

Looking forward to the exploration of the new unit, will report back.

BB newbie here too! Just got the Pearl on Saturday. I'm sure by now u guys are up on it but for those that are worried about the screen getting scratched/smudged, I did come across a site selling screen protectors for the Pearl. Pack of 15 for about..11-12 bucks or so. Don't rem the site(sorry!) but just wanted to put that out there

I just bought the headphones available on Shopblackberry dot com , they're 29.99 2.5mm jack obviously. I'll see how they work out and let you guys know, should be here in 2days.

If anyone else has already tried them i'd like to know so post! :P

alright, just thought I'd give you guys the heads up on the stereo headphones set on shopblackberry.com. They work great, in conjuction with the sport case for the pearl this has replaced my ipod for working out/running/etc. Excellent quality for what it is bb w/multimedia etc.

Believe it or not, I ordered the blue one as well. Hope you get your pearl soon. The ebay seller must have shipped your pearl via parcel post. Parcel post takes 3 weeks to reach you. At least, that's when I received an item that I purchased on ebay. Check out craigslist next time--cash and carry.
