I just bought the Pearl 8100, how do you turn it off an on? When I push and hold the button on the top it only puts it on standby. My old BB I could scroll to it on the screen and turn off the unit.

Hi, sorry for being so dumb, but I have this white arrow in the top right hand corner of the screen of my blackberry pearl. Since it has appeared I cannot use my blackberry to call or do other functions. How do I get rid of this and what do I need to do?

I use a Holux M1000 with google maps on my pearl.
The M-1200 will work also. It is okay but of course you do not want to try to read it while driving
(small).
I prefer google maps over blackberry maps any day. It will give you step by step directions calculated from your current GPS location.
It was a breeze to connect.

Hi .. I'm trying to transfer some pictures in the device memory to my computer. I can transfer pictures from my media card with no problem but the device memory pictures do not show up when the USB is connected.

Is there a way on a Pearl, running 4.2.0.51 to set up SMS to have a different notification symbol to email?
so you can see how many new emails & SMS's as seperate counts etc.
I have searched and can't seem to find the answer here...

Yes, I have Mass storage enabled but the message I get when I do that is: "You may not be able to access some media files in this mode" - so are they saying I can't access my device memory photos?

I can't believe there's no simple way to transfer photos in the device memory to a computer.

There is a shortcut while in your message screen press alt and ? and it will show nothing but your text messages.
