I'm very glad I got the Pearl. I actually had some problems w/ some Applications not coming up on mine but with working w/ Tmobile and RIM for 2 days it is all sorted out and working perfectly! Great phone and loads of fun!

Hey. There is this thread that may help with your error: jvm error 523

It says that you may need to reload the OS.

The latest version by Rogers Wireless can be found HERE.
The latest version by AT&T can be found HERE. <--- the newest OS for Pearl
The latest version by TMobile can be found HERE.

The instructions for loading a new OS can be found HERE. If you are loading an OS from a service provider that is not yours, remember to delete vendor.xml before you actually load it onto the handheld. (it says that in the instructions, just wanted to remind you)

Found and interresting bug. When using multitap for passwords, when you type in a number, it displays only as an "*". The BlackBerry apps in the new version recognise the number in the masked password but some applications (Viigo, Opera Beta 4 so far) see the "*" as an "*" rather than the masked number. Not sure if this a BB bug or application bug caused by a chance in feature by BlackBerry.

When composing an SMS Message, Add Recipient feature shows the wrong contact, but choses the correct telephone number.

Here is how to reproduce:

• Open your address book
• Highlight a contact that has more than one telephone number with the contact's details.
• Press the BB menu button and select SMS Text Contact1FirstName Contact1LastName
• Select the number (in my case, the Mobile number was selected)
• Press the BB menu button and select Add Recipient
• Select another contact that should receive this SMS Message
• I now see Contact1's name listed twice in the list of recipients for the SMS.
• Hightlight the second listing of Contact1's name, press the BB Menu, and select Show Address.
• You should see the telephone number of the second contact.

Been using .107 for a day or so and repeatedly getting the Searching for Network in areas where I typically had a strong signal (at least 2 bars). Now it's 1 bar or searching. Weirdness.
