Will loading a different carriers software affect the sim lock at all? I have a TMobile Pearl, and I need to unlock it to use on a different carrier. Will installing the Rogers software remove the TMobile lock? Or do I have to do that separately?

I uprgraded to .101 after I just unlocked (from T-Mobile) the week before. I just checked and the unlock is still in effect.

Yes, but if I do the software d/l first, do I still have to unlock it, or will that solve my problem?

The OS will not remove the lock. You will still need to get the BB unlocked.

FYI: ok update: i did the OS upgrade for AT&T and it was fine w/o upgrading my desktop manager.

What is the diffence from v4.2.1.148 (Multilanguage) - v4.2.1.101
what does multilanguage mean to me who is all english, contacts and all.
So i have no need for anyother language in my phone?

Multilanguage just means you get different language packs with the OS. You can always go back and remove them if need be.

Just go into your desktop manager and open up your application loader and you can remove them from there.
