The desktop manager software is the same for all Blackberry devices. Your handheld software will be different. What exactly are you looking to do? I'm not sure what you're trying to do so I'll need clarification before I can help.

I just installed the Rogers v4.2.1.181, and now whenever I create a recurring appointment in my calendar, it deletes all the recurring ones, but keeps the original. They stay on there for a couple hours, but then they vanish. Any ideas?

How do I "delete the vendor.xml file before loading onto your handheld"?

I am out of warranty so this should not make any difference. I am seeing a lot of things that I cannot do until I update my OS.

Make sure you've removed all old handheld software for your device, then install the new OS and remove it from here after you've installed the latest OS for your device:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Vendor.xml

Which link and device are you talking about? I haven't seen any 4.2.2 OS updates for the 8100, the latest I've seen anywhere is the Rogers 4.2.1.109/2.3.0.85.

Can you clarify and post a link?
