Blackberry 8100 (Pearl) - Available September 18th!

Destined for T-Mobile, the BlackBerry Pearl features a 65k color 240 x 260 display, EDGE for data, 64MB of memory on-board, AND microSD for expansion. PinStacker suspicions were correct: there isn't a trackwheel. Instead, a trackball-like device in the center for navigation. With video, camera etc.

By all indications, the glossy black Pearl will be hitting T-Mobile kiosks on September 18th with a $199 price tag attached!

See not to say this couldnt be true but it is hard to beleive that a BlackBerry that can do 10x what any other one could do would only sell for 199$

So... If TM is going to carry it (GSM network) does that mean that Cingular is not far behind? If so i wonder what full pop retail will be for it. 500 bucks? Do we know if it can show video for the services that all the carriers are offering now? (Mobi TV- for Razor) or that service offered in Canada, Cingular offers video service including HBO in some form. This kind of phone will expand their market share to the average Joe who up until now has probably shyed away from a BB cause it was considered more of a business tool.

God that is ugly! Defintly trying to appeal to the consumer market! I wouldnt trade that for my 8700 anyday.

I'm sur SRP will be somewhere between $399 and $499. Looks like new activations will be $199 ( might take rebates to get to that amount??) Any way you slice it, a great price for the powerful nature of this device. Look at the treo and SDA prices. Can these 5 weeks go fast enough?!?!?!
