8100 video recorder with 4.5 os?

I know the 8100 is not supposed to have a video recorder but I remember before I upgraded to 4.5 that I saw some hack software somewhere to be able to record video on a 8100. I can't find anything on it anymore so if anyone knows please let me know.

Due to hardware limitations the pearl 8100 can't do video recording. They had it working but it was all green and purple, so it wasn't usable.

Yeah..that hack don't really do much if you want actual video recording, as king stated, it's unusable.

BUT - It works very well as a flashlight Lol. The hack actually uses the camera flash, and you can set it to "On", so that when you open the video recording app, it'll turn your flash on, it works VERY well for that. I use it at least twice a day.

Anybody have a link to the hack program? I could use a steady flashlight.

As great as blinkberey is its not good enough.

the link will not allow for video recording. unfort i was a bit upset too when i upgraded my pearl

that ws one of the MAIN reasons why i did. i should have read more on the forums before ...

Hello everyone :-)
I just updated my software on my 8100 Pearl.
I hoped the video recorder would have been part
of the upgrade package. No luck.

BTW.....If you upgrade the software via on line with RIM, it
will work. However, if you get a fatal error, DO NOT PANIC!!!
It took 3 tries and THANK GOD!!! it works well. Also worth
mentioning that the phone WILL TAKE A GOOD 15 TO 20
MINUTES TO LOAD THE UPDTATED SOFTWARE.
For a moment i thought I had a "small" brick.
