Using your BlackBerry as a Tethered Modem

The BlackBerry 8705g, BlackBerry 8703e, BlackBerry 7130c, BlackBerry 7130e and BlackBerry 7250 allow you to connect your laptop or desktop computer to the Internet, using the device as a tethered modem--so you don't need to carry a wireless PC card.

Using your BlackBerry device as a tethered modem

For further information on how to use your BlackBerry device as a tethered modem, see the Support Knowledge Base Article How To – Connect a laptop to the Internet using the BlackBerry device as a tethered modem.

Setting up the pearl for T-Mobile should be the same as the 8705g.

The 7130g also works as a tethered modem, they just don't tell you it does.
    The setup i'm using is
    +cgdcont=1,"IP","internet.com"
    for the init string and
wapuser1 as the login with wap as the password
on the rogers network here in Canada.
