You'll then be in (options >) security options. You should now have a new menu listing available called "memory cleaner". Scroll and click to the new menu. On "show icon on home screen" select Yes. You will now have an icon on your home screen that you can run anytime. It only takes about 3 seconds to run it. Things it cleans each time you run it:
Address book cache.
Certificate search.
Certificate status manager.
Clipboard.
Content protection cache.
Encrypted messages.
Key store.
PGP key search.

(I also have clean when idle enabled)

This might be the most useful piece of information I've obtained about my BB in quite awhile. Thanks a bunch!
