    Hi all,
Why is 'Enable Bluetooth Support' option of the device manager disabled? My laptop is HP NC6220 and I have just installed a Bluetooth package from HP website. But I can not enable this option. Why? BTW, My 7290 can successfully pair with my laptop. Is there somone can show me a hint?

    Hi Alex,

    Welcome to Pinstack!

What version of Desktop Manager are you using?

I've never seen "Enable Bluetooth Support" in DM 4.1 or 4.2 so I'm interested in the answer to this question myself

I am using DM4.2. You should see this option in Connection Setting window.

I am having the same problem, so far i have been able to determine that the Bluetooth driver that you install contain Wincomm control software, the desktop manager wont allow a Bluetooth connection with that software.
So you need to install the driver manually by going to the HP site and downloading the software, down load it and let it extract and run.
Go to add/remove programs and uninstall the hp blue tooth software there, and restart
then go to your device manager and add the device and point it to the folder C:\swsetup\SP..., this will install the your device

now I am currently dealing with HP support to get windows the blue tooth stack running for some reason it wont initialize

when i have the anwer for that ill let you know
