Does anyone know where I can get the latest firmware for the 8800. I cannot seem to install any software on the device as I have not loaded the software to work with Desktop manager.

    Thanks

Download the latest firmware for the 8800 Here

If they are not your carrier then you will need to delete the vendor.xml file after you install the OS on your PC.

    Software

You have to go to Sprint.com and find the serive books, and send them to your phone. Once you send them, if your emails and browser were not working previously then they should work. If it does not work, reply back to me and ill send you the link.

Thanks for that. I did install the latest firmware and still cannot install any apps. the apps look like they have installed as I can see them in the Options menu but when installing there is a message about the certificates not matching. The exact error is:
Warnings were encountered during the loading process:
The following modules could not be loaded because their digital signatures were invalid.
    MiMLite.cod
Also to let you know, its a company device and the IT policy in place has blocked the download of third party apps OTA and maybe the same applies to apps using desktop manager. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Worked great for me. ;-) I am not sure what the differences are though.

That,s your problem right there. Sadly, this happens when a BB is connected to a BES.
