jadenjamil, Welcome to PinStack. Try a Cold Reboot (Battery Out, wait 15-30 sec, Battery Back in). Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB. Rcbjr |

| Re: jvm error 523 - Need help
Ok, I've downloaded JL_CMDR and done a full wipe and reloaded the OS following the steps provided by PENTACE. Everytime I reload the OS.. I get the hourglass for about 5 minutes. I now receive an app error 523 reset message. I reset the phone.. and then it begins to load. It seems that whatever I do... I always encounter some kind of error message. This is my first blackberry and I honestly love the phone to death, but these constant error messages make me want to smash the phone into pieces. Does anyone have any solution to my problem or should I just buy a new phone?

kmikami, First off, Why did you do a full wipe to start with? When does this error appear? You need to be very patient with during the OS Reload. Let it run to completion. Rcbjr. |

I too am seeing the issue, just after the DST patch was done. Getting the JUM error 523, will a reload of the O/S soolve the issue? Am I going to have to run the p[atch again, possibly having the same issue?

Spanishearl, Welcome to PinStack. If a Cold Reboot (Battery Out, wait 15-30 sec, Battery Back in) doesn't solve it for a time, then you probably will need to install the OS again. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB. Rcbjr |

i have tried to reload my os but it is not working. my cus have a bb 7290 and he upgrade it 2 a os 4.1. we both use the same app-loder. when i was loading some applications i also loaded his os 4.1 onto my phone by accident, and after that the error 523 start to appear. in the application loader add screen the os 4.1 always saying downgrade but it do not downgrade to my os that i had before.

Did you ever get a response? I tried the Cold Reboot (left my battery out first for 1 minute, next for 2 hours) with no luck....

erichsquire - you are getting a 523 error too? you are trying to downgrade? you need to make sure that you uninstall the newer OS in your control panel/add or remove programs and the OS that you are trying to go back to is installed on your pc...after all of this, you should reboot your pc when the desktop manager asks you what you want to do, you want to choose "update now" (mine's doing this at home because i installed the new os at work...) |
