jvm error 523 - Need help

Hello all
after following instructions about reset of model 7100V, message error jvm error 523 still apears.
Any tip will be welcome

A JVM 523 error means a "System process died" You'll need I would reload the entire handheld OS again. Are you familiar with this?

Also any recent apps installed?

You may have to use javaloader. I've never used this :huh: but from what i've heard you have to connect your BlackBerry via usb, open DOS prompt and type

javaloader -usb wipe

Download the latest version of OS for your handheld. (See this thread). Download and install that handheld OS to your PC. Restart Desktop Manager, plug in handheld via USB and the OS should now prompt to reload.

I had this problem with my 7100t. A soft reset will clear the problem which in my case came up because I receive many text and email messages daily.

hello Erica, don't think that this will help, i've already tried almost anithing, also went to vodafone, they informed that 7100V had to go to UK to solve problem. it's a nightmare.

Oh ok. I usually worked when I got an overload of text messages, switching the SIM card between BB's (I also have a 7100t), or loading incompatible themes. I'm not sure about other model BB's as I have T-Mobile USA. Good luck.

hi again, some light at end of tunel
i've managed to restart bb7100V except for phone application and bluetooth.
info dispalied when i trie to use phone is:
error starting net_rim_bb_phone_call_log_entry: Module 'net_rim_bb_phone_api' not found.
Any ideas??

err i need help too! my 8700 has same prob in the middle of 8700 upgrade to 8707 - got dos prompt on pc but just get 'javaloader is not recognised as an internal or external command' (i was on c:\>)

Now i just have a blank screen and error code and small reset icon.

Please help

you need to be in the folder where javaloader is located, or use the complete path for it. At least thats what i remember.

is javaloader within the desktop loader software download or is it a windows xp function? (currently I can not download java for the pc I am currently using) which would explain the problem.

I tried one of Hdyns links but it just flashed up the dos shell then vanished,
Any idea where the folders are located?
thanks my 8700s pulse is weakening I dont know how long she can last - and yes it is a she, just check out the curves

No, JavaLoader is not included with any BlackBerry software most users would be expected to install (ie. its a developer tool). If you tried to execute JavaLoader directly then all you should have seen is a DOS box flash. Try downloading JL_Cmder instead. Basically its a batch file I wrote to leverage JavaLoader. Easier to use without having to know all the proper syntax.

I have a similar problem with my 8700g. I got a 507 error. I can not reload the software. I've tried the trick with doing a hard reset while using Application loader, it reports that the desktop manager does not have the device software for my device [but it works fine with another 8700g].

I also did the "c:\> javaloader -usb wipe" trick. It said "connected", and then "disconnected", but I still could not reload the software from the desktop manager.
