Re: How To: ReInstall OS When Computer Won't Recognize The Device Is Connected

I have tried and tried this solution, but I still get the error:

    Code:
A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again.

Unable to communicate with the radio hardware. Please ensure that a charged battery is installed in the device and try the loading operation again. [P:0x0000000F]
Before the status bar gets to the end of the "Initializing" step, the hourglass stops spinning and I get the 507 error again.

I'm using Windows XP with a BB 7520. I have the latest DM (4.3?) and the latest BB OS Software.

Re: How To: ReInstall OS When Computer Won't Recognize The Device Is Connected

I get to the "Load Radio Software" after waiting for device re-initialization. My screen is already showing the 507 error instead of the hourglass. I get "Connecting to Boot ROM", then uploading RAM image. At the end of the uploading RAM image status bar:

A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again.

Unable to communicate with the radio hardware. Please ensure that a charged battery is installed in the device and try the loading operation again. [P:0x0000000F]
Someone please help before I get rid of this thing.

Re: How To: ReInstall OS When Computer Won't Recognize The Device Is Connected

    Anybody???

EDIT: I went to the shared files in the iDEN folder and renamed the install file for the phone software. I ran the Desktop manager again without the "Radio" support and it loaded JVM, system and JAVA OS software fine.

So the problem is in the iDEN technology. Does it time out? Is version 380 a bad read?

Hello, i have the JUM Error 102 reset on my 8700c. Connected to the Desktop devise via cable. Tried to take the battery out, no function only with the cable. Erased all the files on the BB still the same 102 Error code. The phone is completely frozen. Any idea? Thanks

I even called Nextel and they couldn't solve it yet. It REFUSES to install the phone (Radio) software. I can install everything else via the Desktop Manager but no dice on the phone part. What's the use?

Re: How To: ReInstall OS When Computer Won't Recognize The Device Is Connected

i have tried the 13 steps repeatedly. always ends the same with stopping at "wait for device initialization" then it stops telling me "unable to connect during a multi stage loading operation"
i tried the jl cmder to wipe but it appears to do nothing ie i go through the steps and it just goes back to intro screen
ive tried it to return to factory but it tells me error unable to open port says command completed hit any key and goes back to intro screen. tried 13 steps after this and still nothing

ive tried the cmd line thing but it tells me javaloader is not a recognized command
    what next

At what point are you replacing the battery? If the battery does not go in at waiting for device initialization or if you put it in before and it boots to an error it's more then likely going to give you the multi stage loading error. I would try putting the battery back in as soon as it flips to waiting for device initialization. Remember to be patient. Hope it helps. Welcome to the Stacks.
