| If purchased with a plan try the free route first: Call your carrier's Intl customer service number. Let them know that you will be traveling and need to roam using another SIM on prepaid. They will ask you for your Blackberry's IMEI and then give you the unlock code. In some cases you may need to have international roaming already on your account.Paying to unlock your Blackberry: Eaccess.com: The cost for this service is a one time fee of $75 US charged to your credit card:https://www.eaccessinc.com/unlock-request.htm Gsmlocker.com: Pay On-line and receive a code by email within 48-72 hours: http://www.gsmlocker.com/blackberryunlock.asp Gsmphonesource.com: You pay for the unlocking service, and when you submit your order, you will include the IMEI number and model number for the Blackberry you are unlocking in the notes section. The IMEI # can be obtained when you enter *#06# from your phones keypad, it will display a 15 digit number: http://www.gsmphonesource.com/reunforatcib.html Unlockitnow.com: Please choose the unlock method that is most suitable for you: http://www.unlockitnow.com/Blackberry/8700c.php Ebay: for blackberry Unlocking Kits and Services: http://cell-phones.search.ebay.com/b...0QQsacatZ43312 Also see: How do I enter the unlock code on Blackberry? ~via SUPA BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ Just a note, when trying to unlock thru your carrier: tell them you are traveling outside the country and that you plan to use a pre paid SIM. Sometimes they will let you know about the international plans and try to offer that instead of giving you the unlock code. I have done this many times |

| Re: How to: Unlock Blackberry Device
I just emailed AT&T support and told them i had some old phones that or in active that i got through AT&T and was going to give them to other family members to use with there carrier. Also one of my family is living in Italy and wanted to get one to use there with there carriers. They replied and ask me for the IMEI numbers for the phones and said it will take around 5 business days to process to get the codes.. here is the first email that i was replied to. Thank you for taking the time to e-mail AT&T regarding that you want to unlock an old phone. I am happy to help you with your inquiry and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. In order to request a subsidy unlock code, we will need some additional information. Please be advised without this information we will be unable to make the request. You can reply to this email or contact Customer Care at x-xxx-xxx-xxxx or 611 from your cell phone with the below information: How did you purchase your current phone (example: 2 or 1 year contract or no commitment price). If the phone was purchased at the no commitment prices, proof of purchase is required. (Fax Number: xxx.xxx.xxxx Attn: xxxx xxxxx xxxx. The IMEI number. You can access this by dialing *#06# or the number is located in the back of your phone under the battery (This is with most phones). The IMEI number is a fifteen digit number. The make and model of the phone. An available contact number, if our specialized team needs to call you. Please Note: The request may take up to 5 days to be approved or denied. You will be contacted once completed. Then i emailed them back with the info and they said that they will get them for me in up to 5 business days. Im on my 3rd business day now. still waiting |

Is there a SIM card slot in your Pearl? You will need to unlock your device, most likely through a service for which you'll have to pay for that. I've personally used www.freeyourcellphone.com. Reasonable prices, fairly quick turnaround. |
