| How To: Take Screenshots using JL_Cmder
Wanted to put together this guide as a follow up to my other JL_Cmder guide on how to Wipe a BlackBerry: http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...846#post611846 for those Stackers that ask us how to take a screenshot to capture anything from their theme, wallpapers, or even more importantly error codes so we can better assist when problems arise. Download the software here: http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...&desc=1&keys=1 Once you have installed the file to your desktop be sure to run and complete the install. You will now see this icon on your desktop - Double left click it to run the program, be sure your BB is connected via USB cable to your PC: First screen that opens up looks like this: As indicated, Press any key to continueNext screen you will see is this one: Type in Yes or No depending on your BB. If your device does lock with a password then you will type a Y and then hit Enter and it will give you this screen: Here you enter your password. If you don't lock your BB with a password, then type N and hit Enter in the previous screenshot prompt and you will be taken to the following screen: Here you will type number 3 and hit Enter and be taken to the following screen: Here you will enter whatever you wish to call your screenshot. I called mine LavasWall ![]() Hit Enter. You will then be taken to this screen and your screen capture will also pop up in MS Paint: ![]() From here you can hit File at the top of the MS Paint window>save as>name it whatever you want and I usually save in .jpg format To load your screenshot in a post, you can use a free image hosting site such as Photobucket: http://www.photobucket.com Watch your image size, make sure it isn't too large in your post. It shouldn't be as the capture gets it just about right. Good luck and have fun! ![]() Lava Last edited by Lavagirl; 03-23-2008 at 11:49 PM. |

on windows you can try to take picture from active window only. press Alt + Prt sc to take screenshot only from active window. No need to cut pieces from screenshot taken from whole desktop. |
