What kind of problems are you having?

The desktop manager wont detect the device.... My laptop bluetooth settings will find the device, then it says...Unable to detect service....

Upgrade went well on my 7100g from Rogers...

Enterprise Activation may have an issue... I guess I'll have to get our IT weenies involved (crap). Otherwise seems ok.

One more thing... Google Local didn't work with 4.0 Now it works fine with 4.1!!! Cool.

You know I wonder if that was my problem with it. It never mapped for me before.. and then this past weekend... we were lost and poof it worked. Maybe it was 4.1

For 71xx, download BlackBerry 7100g(TM) Multilanguage 4.1

4.) Install 4.1 using the .exe file you just downloaded.

5.) Delete the 'Vendor.xml' file ( C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader ) Or search your computer's hard drive for the "vendor.xml" file. Once you find it, delete it.

6.) Connect your device to your PC via the USB cable.

7.) Open Desktop Manager. It should recognize that there is an upgrade for your device. ('Vendor.xml' must be deleted for this step to work) Follow the prompts and you will have OS 4.1 installed in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Good luck and of course, myself nor pinstack.com can take responsibilty for any problems that may occur. I will however extend my assistance if you need it.

Is the upgrade instructions above applicable to Asian telco's? When I tried to click on the "link" button, it leads me to Hong Kong telco provider (if I remember it's CSL). I'm a StarHub Singapore BB user.

I am using that OS on a US T Mobile phone It is the OS for another cell provider. You just delete that vendor file and poof it works. Just make sure you back up first. That way if it doesn't work out for you it can be restored back to the way it was.

Sounds like a Blackberry Miracle!

Lot's of new people giving the upgrade a try. T-mobile BB support didn't even tell me they couldn't help me because I was on 4.1. They just kept on troubleshooting.
