Re: How To: Get Extra Memory Space On A Blackberry

If you look via desktop manager, you can see the size of all the programs you have installed on your BB, even the ones you've done via OTA...

for me the three biggest ones were

    VZNavigator

    Google Maps

    Browser

    Note to you guys:

When i went to the BB browser, it said the cache was only about 256KB, but the Desktop manager recorded at least 3MB of use! Descrepancy!!! No matter what that cache says, you're best off deleting it anyway! nothing to lose except the minimim amout suggested by the program! For me it was much more than reported!

this is of course excluding the built in programs... but as far as 3rd party apps are concerned..

my top 3 programs that i keep are:

    Age of Empires III
Blackberry Sample Video (LOL just kidding!!! Please delete this!! uselesss!!!!!)
Second, third, and fourth place go to some themes I have....

The lesson is, delete what you really don't need!! it only takes a minute to load them back on, so really you have nothing to lose!

    Best,

    Wegmans

on the 8130 you can just go to your messaging icon and go up to the top where the time and date is and the use the blackberry key and then delete prior and it will delete them all instead of doing it singaly

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~TMO guy told me if I hold down the alt key and press LGLG everything I have done from messages to call logs shows up and then press menu button and press clear it erases all the events that have happened on my BB and frees up space. Did it and it worked great.

I don't show any sent messages in my folder. Someone above mentioned that they can be "hidden". Is this my issue? How can I rid these?

there is a way, highlight the last message, press the cap shift, and scroll up, it will show the highlighting of all as you scroll. When all are highlighted, press menu, and hit "delete" and all will be gone!
    Hope this helps

    Smile Freeing up Memory

I just installed a casemate black cover on my curve, and noticed that there is a way to do what is equivalent to a battery pull....

press the alt, then right cap, then delete key, and it does a "soft reset"

do the same key sequence within ten seconds of the recovery from the first reset, and it performs a full "battery pull" reset.

I realize this may be common knowledge, but just wanted to be sure-
