Question How to get desktop calendar to sync with Pearl

    Hi,

I'm a completely new blackberry user. I had an ordinary cell phone and used a sony clie for maintaining my calendar and contacts on my desktop and PDA. They were stolen so I updated both to the Blackberry Pearl. I'm having a hard time finding basic information about how to get any desktop software to sync with my Pearl. I have Outlook but my organization uses Novell Groupwise. I know I won't have access to any enterprise email and I don't plan to use blackberry email on a personal account - I just want to keep a calendar and contacts on my computer and be able to sync with my blackberry. What is the easiest way to do this? I'm willing to use either Outlook or groupwise, but if there is a way to transfer my Clie information that would be great. I've got the Blackberry desktop software loaded but I don't know how to get it connected to any calendar/contact software.

Any advice or links would be greatly appreciated.

    williamsn, Welcome to PinStack.

Just Open the Desktop Manager, connect your Pearl to the PC, Click on Syncronize and click on the configuration Tab. Click on Configure syncronization and set up your different items to be synced.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.
