does EXCEL compatible freeware exist ?

Hi.

I'm brand new to Blackberry. I have ordered a Blackberry Pearl and am keen to be able to type documents and do spreadsheets on it.

I've looked around for Microsoft Office compatible software but have only found eoffice and that costs $150 !!!!!

Does anyone know if there a freeware programme that behaves like Excel and word. Thanks for any pointers.

Welcome to pinstack. You can use Gridmagic, it is for Excel only, but works awesome!

It's not freeware. How about trial period?
