Depending on who your carrier is, you can download the update from them, or go to www.blackberry.com and download the upgrade from there. There might be a way to get it from this site as well.

Re: How To: Delete Pre-Loaded Ringtones (4.0 O.S. ONLY!)

O'RIGHTIE THEN, After browsing for seems hours throughout the website, I have decided to ask for directions sorta speek. This thread looks like it is the right one I need to be in, If not, SORI, a newbie to the site and just as new to the blackberry. I will say I WILL NEVER OWN NOTHING ELSE! I love this phone, I recently trading in my pearl in for the curve 8310 model. Not sure exactly why, just seems to b more of a phone. OK, Nate is it?, or N8NBB?, or just mayb to whom it may concern... All the information above about the deleting of the Pre-set ringtones is very helpful, although I am not quite ready to jump in and start with those directions, I will thought for sure, but first I have to get what I started out the way, not up to multi tasking at the moment. Recently I downloaded some ringtones for my son, ya know that headbanging stuff, after I sent them to him, I went in trying to delete, it did delete the file from within, nothing there when opens to play, BUT the title still on the list. HOW CAN I GET RID OF THE TITLES? Well I know I could have saved u alot of reading if I could have just got to the point, sori again just not in my nature... PLEZ Help,
OH by the way I see you are from Chicago, Me too. Born and raised there, moved here to Missouri in 87, so we kind of niephors.

Follow the same instructions. I have followed the same instructions myself on deleting the themes, ringtones, languages and pre-loaded pictures. I have atleast 32mb of free space when I did these steps. I have installed 5 other 3rd party apps and still have 27-29mb of free space. Woooow!
I hope this helps you with your question for your 8800 BB.....
