Been using it, for a couple months now, and have been doing graphics and webpage building, so far have had no complaints. Had a little trouble setting up a Nas, and connection to a drive share on a ubuntu machine, but its all good now.

Do you need a product key or anything like that? I have XP pro on my machine but would like to test this thing. I thought that it would have stopped working as of August 1? is this correct? Can you guys please post a link? Thanks in advance.

It is no longer downloadable from microsoft, however you can probably get the .iso from multiple websites (just pick one) then go to the download page and follow the download instructions as you would had you downloaded the .iso and select which product key you want ie. 32bit/64bit, then mount the .iso and istall on the system. Then your off and running sir.

P.S. I have the 7100 iso, however I don't know how to get it out there.

My beast is a 64bit. I guess I'd have to go looking for one. Is is much better than xp? is there a limitation as far as the functioning is concerned? I mean, will I be able to run official microsoft utilities as I was on xp such as wmp 11 and what not? I just reinstalled xp on my pc and would like to try this out. Please let me know if windows 7 would stop working for me as soon as the official one is released. Thank you in advance. How is it running on your system anyway?

Windows 7 RC will continue to work until they are close to officially releasing it. It is set to expire 06/01/2010 and they said that bi-hourly shutdowns will start on 03/01/2010. But you would be notified of all this beforehand.

If you're running XP, you'll need to back up your data and then do a clean install of the RC, then reinstall applications and restore your files.
