    Webpages in BlackBerry format...

I have an important event coming up in which I would like to create a BB accessible webpage. What's the best way to start? I found a free wap hosting page, but that seems to be a little more simplistic than I'd like.

I have no idea where to start. (I don't write HTML, WML, or whatever other languages. I'm just an accountant.)

This site will contain information about Seattle and about the event for the attendees.

if i understand bis correctly, i don't think there's anything special you need to do. every webpage viewed via a blackberry goes through the blackberry proxy server, and is 'wap-ified' there. conversely, i think the only prerequisite to writing a page specifically for wap is: center everything (i'm only half kidding), don't have a lot of graphics, force your page width to 240 px. basic stuff like that.

somebody please correct me if i'm wrong.

Sorry. Guess I forgot to mention that part! www.tagtag.com

It's free because they post a small ad at the top of each of your pages. Nothing too intrusive. i think it would be great as a blog alternative.

Keep in mind that tagtag is PURELY WAP. That means no color, no photos, very little formatting. It's meant for PDAs and web enabled phones. So many of them can't read normal HTML like BlackBerrys can.

That said. One WAP "page" is only a couple K each.

I would use xhtml, its cleaner but is very strict; case sensitive and you cannot have any empty tags.

    This link might help:

Is there a "FrontPage" or similar readily available (and idiot proof) XHTML writer out there?

    Maybe? I think so? Partly?

I'm not even sure what type of responses I was expecting to tell you the truth. I did find this interesting site to teach the basics on XHTML:
