Removing a restrictive IT Policy on the BB Bold
I was trying to find instructions on how to remove the it policy on a Blackberry Bold.
Back when I had the Curve 8300 I copyed the "Policy.bin" file into the following directory: "C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry" and those the accompanying steps to remove the restrictive it policy.
Is the method still the same for subsequent Blackberry models or is there a new method to do this.
I'd like to remove a restricive IT policy on my bold and was wondering if I use this same method.
Thanks for your help!
Yes it is the same exact process
You could also open up a command prompt and navigate to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and run loader.exe /resettofactory while the BlackBerry is plugged into your computer via USB.
Also this will only work if you have Desktop Manager installed.
