Re: Cingular favors "their" 8100/8200 & BlackJack over BlackBerry?

I had the blackjack for almost 2 weeks before I returned it on Saturday for the new pearl. I couldn't get it to sync once with my msn email account, I spent hours on the phone with tech support. I was coming from a 7100 where the only setup is inputing your email accounts once, no bs. The other 2 big selling points are 3g, not impressed it didn't seem that much better. The second big selling point is cingular video, I NEVER got it to work, I had tech people saying that there is a system outage. For two weeks?
I'm leaving out the horrible battery life, constant crashing, and bad key placement. It is easy to forget how good our BBs are at simply doing what they should do.

I can see why RIM had to take action. The ads say... "the NEW BLACKJACK from Cingular".

Never mentions WHO manufactures the Blackjack.

If the ads said the new "Samsung Blackjack from Cingular" I could understand. Cingular does not care for RIM/BlackBerry though I've always said that, and believe it even more now. With the 8700c and 8100c they never ran any TV ads for either of them... at least not on any prime time or major stations at frequent rotations.

For BlackJack every station, fox, cbs etc I turn to its "Blackjack from Cingular"!

RIM needs to focus on T-Mobile and Sprint/Nextel as far as major new releases like the 8800.

As for the 8100c being released LATE around the same time as the Blackjack... hmmm

Well Cingular's data plans favor the BB quite well at $10 less and $15 less than with xpress mail.
