    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~always had a password on my pearl. I have it automatic after 1 hour

    Unfortunately, if someone steals your pearl, all they have to do it wipe the device (by entering the wrong password 10 times), and then they can make whatever calls they want.

    Passwording protecting your phone only protects your data.

    Thanks for the info. I was hoping the "wipe" might have disabled the calling function.

    I've made a copy of my PIN and IMEI numbers plus T-Mobile cust. service phone number for my wallet just in case. Of course if I'm mugged of my waller too I'l be S.O.L. But cell bills would be the last thing on my mind right about then.
