Will OTA OS upgrades be unattractive?

Looks like this is coming soon. But presumably they'll be available per operator, when that operator is happy the upgrade is stable on their network and they're ready to support its features. So no early OTA upgrades from other networks I guess??

There will still be upgrades available for download as well, at least for the short term. BES admins will be able to install these upgrades to their network and push them out via the BES, so they dont HAVE to let the users get the OTA notifications from the carrier. BES 5.0 will allow for the BES admin to block service books/pushed apps from the carriers as well.

I was thinking about it the other way round. Those hereabouts who always upgrade using the latest release (from any carrier), will possibly never be able to do that OTA unless that carrier happens to be the one they're with.
