I don't like fooling around with alpha and beta software. Does anyone know when BBM 5 will be released?

and will it be an independent upgrade from RIM, or will it be a module of a full v5.x release?

next question, will there be a 8900 version 5 release?

Not sure but I have been using this beta for a couple of weeks and experienced absolutely no bugs whatsoever. My sister has an 8900 and she can vouch the same. As far as betas goes, this is pretty solid.

I've been using it on my Bold with AT&T & my Curve 8330 with nTelos since the beta was leaked... no issues at all...

Yeah. Nothing like os 5.0 where stuff doesn't work. This seems to work great now

It will be included in all 5.0 OS' released from RIM. I would also imagine they will make it an available upgrade for those who won't be seeing 5.0. Hayden posted a topic about it here. Being that there is currently a 5.0 OS out there for the 8900, it will definitely receive the new BBM when the new OS is released.
