New to PINSTACK ...

I am in search of a 3rd party software to play my .wav files on my 8700g. It's an age old question, I know, but has anyone designed this yet????

I am not certain about all .wav paramaters, but I can play the ones I've made on my 8700c, using OS ver 4.1.0.286 with the same player the MP3 files. Access them the same way that you access the MP3 files

My 8700g will not play wav files it will only play Mp3 files. I sent a wav file via email just to confirm, the BB does not recognize the wav file format and will not play the attachment.

You can not play any sound file from an email attachment, unless they have changed the email capabilities in the new OS releases. The have to be played from the browser.

msbrenda, try this. Go to
TTS Interactive Demo
using your BB Internet Browser (Not WAP) and select a voice and language from the Pull down Menu, Type in a couple of sentences, the select the SPEAK button and see if that plays. It's worked for me. and I am using 4.1.0.286 on my 8700c.

Update, I uploaded a small wav file using coolservicedk and the wav file played but it was only 3 seconds wav files are far too large and take up too much space to be a popular form of sound file used on the BB. Just my opinion I'll stick with Mp3's I create my own using audacity and then upload them through coolservice. (I was thinking of my sidekick 2 you can listen to music attachments via email! Sorry only been back with my BB for a week today!)

i tried playin .wav, i went into a game's component ,it is including .wav file , when i used d game , d 8700 wasnt using it, so finallyi shud say yet cant play , u better do 1 thing convert ur .wav to mp3, it will b of lesser sizeand better quality, so try converting

I am having trouble with 7130C, gmail, and AudioPop software (that will play both MP3 and WAV. When the message is pushed to the BB, it shows as "application type unknown", so the software will not open it. On gmail it shows as a wav file attachement, but when its pushed to the BB it does not recognize it. Trying to get tech suppor from AudioPop but they haven't helped yet. Larry
