Verizon 8130 Pearl - upgrade not showing up

I'm trying to upgrade my Verizon 8130 to the 4.5.0.122 software (file name is 8130uAMEA_PBr4.5.0_rel122_PL3.2.0.52_A4.5.0.89_All Tel.exe), but when I open the desktop manager, it does not prompt me to upgrade (like all the guides say it should) and if I go to applications manually, the OS does not show up at all?

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Where does that .exe install the files to - can I manually point the BB Desktop software to it?

    Thanks!

Nevermind! The vendor.xml file was in a different path. I deleted that and it prompted me for the upgrade!

    LOL, well thanks anyway!

Hmm, is it normal after the application loading phase for it to be "stuck" on a screen with a rotating hour glass for a long time (it's been 15 or more minutes) - the install process just says "connecting to device".

Yes totally normal, could even take another 15 minutes. Don't worry
