    Question updating blackberry looses unlocking?

    hi
    im new at this, but i recently bought a pearl (8100) and it was unlocked, and a 4gb microsd/hc , i read some posts here and it says that i need to upgrade the pearl to certain firmware so it can acept the micro sd, but my question is this:
    if i upgrade the firmware, do i loose the unlocking?

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ you shouldn't. Mine is unlocked and I bought it from my provider. I upgraded the OS and its still unlocked. But I could be wrong...

    Once unlocked it never goes back. You removed the factory code on there so it will never lock your sim again

    im pretty sure it stays as tight as before the unlocking... and no, your phone wont re-lock.
