    Trouble downgrading Os on 8830

    HI,
i was wondering if some can help me out.
i have bb 8830 and upgraded to the beta os 4.5.

i want to downgrad the os the official release and am having trouble.

i have followed all the steps in removing the desktop software and vendor files.

when i try to load the new os, the blackberry goes blank and the red light stays on.

i tried it many times and tweaked a few things and same end result.

i have to then take the battery out and the phone works fine again.

    any suggestions?

is there any way to format the os on the bb?

Who is your carrier? Updating your profile with carrier, OS and device will make it easier for others to help you.

I am no expert but here is what I would try. Uninstall the 4.5 from your pc. Get the original os for your device here https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...68A70C556B1824. Install it to your pc. Use JL_cmnder to wipe your device. Find out how here http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...lackberry.html .

Then restart your PC and plug in your BB after that start DM and it should install your original OS. Since you are going back to your carriers OS you shouldn't have do worry about vendor.xml or anything.
