For some reason I can't find anything that describes how to cloak, hide or keep secure a single entry in my contact list, etc. I would like to hide some of my entries for security reasons.

    Please help

    Thanks

    Edgey

    Re: security for individual entries

I have a solution that is easy for someone who uses a BB, but not for someone who doesnt.

Create two categories and filter them, one for the contacts you want visible, one for the contacts you dont. Then choose the category you want visible. If you need help on doing this please ask.

What I do, I put the Numbers and contacts I want to keep secure in my password keeper. Then there is no chance of someone pulling them up. Works very well and they are password protected.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

And are you trying to hide them from a BES admin? (Hint: you can't hide anything from the BES admin.)

John's suggestion would be the best option, but least convenient, because it would add extra steps in order to call or email that person. And once you do, you would have to delete the email or call record to keep the contact info 'secure', because anyone could view the records quite easily.

Uh.....kutdawg, you just put the name in and the number as if you were doing a credit card or bank account. You can't dial from there. But you can cut and paste from it and they are password protected.
